MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
In today’s age of technology and competiveness, one of the most pressing responsibilities is ensuring that our children are prepared to enter the work force and to take advantage of new opportunities as our society as well as nation progresses. Especially, our district East Kameng’s future is absolutely dependent on making our education system a success for our students, our teachers, our parents and our economy.
Our education system must position our children to compete globally in knowledge based economy. To prepare and train the next generation by imparting quality education so that they do not become as parasite of others rather they must be a responsible and proud citizen. They must think and act innovatively, demonstrate high performance and meet the highest expectations.
A grammar school education once suited the agrarian age, and a high-school education suited the assembly line age. A high-quality post-secondary education is needed for the technology age.
When it comes to the educating our young people, all of us- parents, educators, school boards, the business community, public servants and citizens – share an enormous responsibility to help next generation succeed. We must all step up to that responsibility.
H.G. Wells once said that “Civilization is a race between education and catastrophe”. Today we have the obligation to determine the winner. As we stand at the threshold of new generation, we must embrace profoundly different expectation and encourage for compulsory education to each and every children.
Dear parents and guardians, the start of a new school year is a special time; especially as your child enters the first grade. It’s hard to imagine now, but after a decade, he or she will graduate, starting their next phase of life.
As a parents of kids as well, I understand the hopes and dreams you have for your child. You hope that through an excellent education, your child will reach their full potential.
We envision imparting high standard education system through our institution. The goal is to prepare students so they not only have the knowledge to succeed but also the skills and competencies demanded for their future world. Classrooms are set up to invoke critical thinking where solutions are often found by the students, not just the teacher. This is all part of developing real life skills in students, especially in our digital age where there is an abundance of information readily available – often in the palm of your hand.
As you send your child to school this year, know that I am thinking about them and what our institute can do to help them be successful with your support and guidance.
With all your cooperation and support, I know our children’s future is bright in “Daii Apung Public School” Seppa.
With fond thoughts and best wishes
